Join us on a trip to New York City to view highlights of the JTS’s world class Special Collections, now on exhibit at the Grolier Club. The JTS collection is the largest collection of Hebrew manuscripts on earth, including fragments of the Cairo Genizah, medieval illuminated haggadot for Passover, and much more. We will tour the exhibit with JTS librarian, Dr. David Kraemer, followed by lunch at the Second Avenue Deli. There is no charge for the event. Participants will buy their own train tickets and lunch. -

Using Gila Fine’s award-winning book, The Madwoman in the Rabbi’s Attic, we will study the talmudic passages about the six named women in the Talmud. This will give us the opportunity to learn some Talmud together, to think more about the role of women in the Talmud, and to dig into Fine’s work more deeply. Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary. Free for members; non-members $100.
