Our Inclusive Community
At Congregation B'nai Jacob, our mission is to create a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. We are committed to upholding the principles of equality and justice, guided by the teachings of our faith. We invite you to join us in building a community that embraces diversity and celebrates the unique contributions of each individual.
Welcoming Interfaith Families
We believe that the strength of our community comes from our diversity and inclusivity. We warmly welcome interfaith families who are drawn to our vibrant Jewish life. Whether one partner is Jewish and the other practices a different faith, or both partners are exploring Judaism together, we are here to support your spiritual journey.
Our synagogue offers a variety of programs and resources tailored to the unique needs of interfaith families. We provide educational opportunities and family-oriented activities that help integrate interfaith families into our community. We celebrate the diverse backgrounds that each family brings, and we are committed to fostering a welcoming environment where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and connection.
Supporting the LGBTQ+ Community
Congregation B’nai Jacob is a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all. We honor the love of LGBTQ+ couples and our Rabbi joyfully officiates at same-sex weddings, ensuring every couple receives equal respect, blessings, and support.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our programs and initiatives for interfaith families and the LGBTQ+ community, please reach out to us.

Well before last October the teachers for this class have been working with the role narratives in our lives and our professions. Understanding and articulating one’s own narrative is a fundamental aspect of psychoanalysis. Similarly, learning narratives from religious faiths is integral to many people’s primary traditions. These narratives are transformative, shaping our conceptions of family, community, and self. They can be shaken up in psychoanalytic work and serve as a bedrock of religious practice. Please join the discussions in this zoom class. -
