The Thought and Stories of Rebbe Nachman of Bratzlov

Rebbe Nachman occupies a unique place in the Hasidic pantheon. A great-grandson of the Ba’al Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism, he lived only 38 years and left no descendants. His sect, however, The Bratzlav Hasidim, have carried on without a rebbe for the last 200+ years and his words and stories seem to grow in popularity over time in secular Israeli as well as Hasidic culture. More than any other Hasidic master, he was the doctor of the soul, and his words are often uniquely relevant today. We will place him in history and read some of his seminal texts and stories.
