Kids are encouraged to come in their pajamas! We'll begin with a Havdalah service, followed by a family-friendly movie. Desserts, snacks, and beverages will be served.

Well before last October the teachers for this class have been working with the role narratives in our lives and our professions. Understanding and articulating one’s own narrative is a fundamental aspect of psychoanalysis. Similarly, learning narratives from religious faiths is integral to many people’s primary traditions. These narratives are transformative, shaping our conceptions of family, community, and self. They can be shaken up in psychoanalytic work and serve as a bedrock of religious practice. Explore the sermons delivered by Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman Shapira in the Warsaw Ghetto, focusing on cultivating faith and resilience amid unrelenting suffering. An Olympic Ice Dancer Looks Back with Dr. Stacey Lee Smith

Dr. Stacey Lee Smith, a psychiatrist and CBJ member, will speak about her experiences as an international Olympic Figure Skater. She was the 1978, 1979, and 1980 US Ice Dance champion, co-captain of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team, and represented the U.S. at the XIII Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid, New York.
