We’re Sending An MDA Ambulance to Israel

Israel has lost 300 ambulances since October 7th from terrorist attacks on emergency vehicles, drivers and paramedics. This event is a fundraiser to raise money for sending a replacement Life Support Ambulance to Israel. We have raised $15,000, have secured matching funds for $57,500, and need another $42,500 to meet our goal. Please come and support this cause. Together we can speed this ambulance on its way.

Continuing the Legacy of Joey Russell

Dr Jeffrey Hoos, Past President of Jewish Federation, will emcee this event. He has raised funds with Barry Vine, who worked closely with Joey Russell in the 1980s for MDA Ambulance Drives. Together they sparked our New Haven community of Jewish organizations, schools and synagogues to send over twenty ambulances to Israel.

Reuven Russell, Stern Professor of Theater, is a well- known talented actor and comedian like his father Joey Russell z”l. He continues the family’s good work of community fundraising for this MDA Ambulance drive, supporting our efforts to send a replacement Life Support Ambulance to our brothers and sisters in our homeland.
