All voluntary donations will assist in supporting the costs of Gospel Shabbat. In Jewish numerology, every Hebrew letter has a corresponding numerical value.  The Hebrew letters for the number 18 spell “chai”, or life.  Eighteen has therefore come to be considered an important number, and many give gifts or donations in multiples of 18, symbolically giving the gift of life and/or good luck
