Organized in 1962, the B'nai Jacob Library houses over 10,000 books, newspapers, periodicals, and audio-visual materials of Jewish content. The library serves the congregation, the religious school, and the Greater New Haven community.
The library contains reference materials representing standard classical Judaica as well as the newest books in Jewish publishing. It provides materials for study, pleasure reading, enrichment programs for the school, story hours, and sources for teachers. The B'nai Jacoc Archives contains hundreds of documents and photographs representing the synagogue's history from 1882 to the present.
